Kambo is a secretion from the Giant Monkey Frog, also known as Phyllomedusa bicolor. Where the frog venom is collected on a small bamboo or wooden stick, then dried and wrapped in corn or shacapa leaves. You will receive one stick MATSES KATUKINA Authentic Kambô. The dried secretion contains up to 7% potently active peptides – phyllo caerulein, phyllomedusa, phyllokinin, dermorphin (selective mu opioid receptor agonists) and deltorphin (selective delta opioid receptor agonists). Phyllomedusa is a new peptide of the tachykinin family. Phyllomedusa strongly affects the salivary glands, tear ducts, intestines, and bowels, and contributes to violent purging. Tachykinins are active peptides which excite neurons, evoke behavioral responses. They are potent vasodilators and secretagogues, and Phyllomedusa contract (directly or indirectly) many smooth muscles. Phyllomedusa is secreted protein and expressed by the skin glands.
