Yellow caapi vine (Ayahuasca). The term “Aya” means soul or dead people, and “huasca” means vine or liana. The two names combined make up the word “Ayahuasca”, which means “vine of the souls” or “vine of the dead”. We stock 5 varieties of Banisteriopsis Caapi vine, yellow, white, red, black and rainbow. This yellow caapi vine is sourced directly out of the Amazonian jungle in Peru.
Other plants are almost invariably mixed together with the jungle vine Banisteriopsis. There are about a hundred different species known to be added to the potion at different times and places. Ayahuasca is used in South and Central America and by at least seventy different indigenous peoples of the Americas.
